Lilac Breasted Roller

Chatterer substitute.

It is a very common bird in Africa and India, and parts of Asia.

This skin has loads of feathers for flies, arts, crafts, decoration, jewelry,

Indian head dresses, ornaments, fans, etc.

Most all of the belly and feathers of the under parts are pale blue like you'd find on an Asian White Throated Kingfisher. On it's back there's a myriad of colors.

Please note these pictures were taken under natural light.

The feathers are all natural in color.

I have washed, dried, and fluffed up the feathers and boraxed the skin.

I have 10 of these skins, but only 2 look as nice as this one. The others have been through a washer and dryer and not all fluffed up so they look nice. These grade #3 skins I pluck the feathers from to sell. Please contact me for loose feathers.
Price $100.00 for a Grade #1 skin

This is the belly, it has mostly pale blue feathers.

Another close up of the feathers on it's back

Here is the lavender feathers on it's throat, under it's head.

Here is one wing, notice the robust royal blue and light blue wing quills.

Here is the deep royal blue feathers on it's wing bow. Some of the aqua blue feathers have royal blue on the tip.
I have just the wing quills at $3.00 per feather.

Here is the base of the tail. There are 3 to 4 different shades of blue here.

Most of the larger tail quills and wing quills are about 5 inches long.
I have tails quills for $10.00 each for grade #1 and $6.00 each for grade #2, $4.00 each for grade 3
